Learning and a Funny

I've had PhotoShop CS3 for quite a while now... ahem {1 year}. I had been reading up on how to do certain things on it and came to the conclusion that you needed to go to college just to get a basic handle on how to remove red eye! I was intimidated! Now those of you who know me well, know that I am NEVER intimidated by the computer or any of the software that I buy for it... for some odd reason PhotoShop was the exception to the rule. Anyhow, I figured I'd mess around with it and see what I could come up with. Here are some pictures I have edited through PhotoShop. I know they aren't as good as what you can see on the web, but I am mighty proud of my lil' accomplishment and I thought I'd share.
Okay so on to the funny part of my post. I was gone to get the kids from school and Terry said that Faith had brought out all of the dog bowls and spread them onto the kitchen floor. He said that he told her to "pick them up" to which she replied, "Daddy, there's just too many." He told her that she brought them all out and she could figure out a way to put them back... this is what she did....

Okay... now how am I gonna do this???

I've just about got it!!!!

There!

I am so glad that he got the camera and snapped a couple of pictures of her doing this. I thought it was just too funny not to share! This is our lil' Faithie at her best!!! And noI didn't edit these, I haven't gone on an editing spree... YET!

Dancing Princesses

Last night the girls decided they were going to put on a "show" for us. Kaitlynn, Sarah and Faith started dancing to "That's What You Get" By Paramore. I apologize that it's not of better quality, but I was recording them on my digital camera. It took FOREVER to get this video uploaded. I am surprised that I had the patience to wait that long....

Sarah's a Mommy's girl... she's always been my little side-kick {I love it!} She is just too funny and always makes me laugh... even when I'm angry with her I find myself turning away and walking into another room to keep her from hearing my giggles. The coolest thing about Sarah besides the fact that she's funny is that she looks EXACTLY like my mom did when she was little.

Kaitlynn will tell you she's a Daddy's Girl. She is the more "mature" one who has a more mothering instinct. Maybe that's because she was born first and takes on the mother hen role. Just this morning when I was dropping them {Kaitlynn, Sarah, and our neighbor's daughter} off at school, I heard Kaitlynn chastising Sarah and her friend Bri for running to the school doors. Kaitlynn said, "I don't want to see you two running to the doors this morning. It's icy and you will fall and hurt yourselves". I had to laugh to myself!

Faith seems to take on a little of both of their characteristics. Unlike Kaitlynn and Sarah though, she is not partial to her dad or me... she's an equal opportunity love bug. She'll snuggle up with us on the couch and is always wanting to sit on our lap! She can be a tough little booger when she wants to be. She is always trying to keep up with her older sisters! You'll see in this video that whatever her bigger sisters are doing, she's right there with them.

It's a funny thing...

I always hear all of my Mom's many teachings in my ear, one of which being, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and I'm sure that my brothers would say the same.... It's a funny thing. When you're young none of that makes much sense! The older you get the wiser they become! I watch my kids sometimes look at me like I'm crazy because I'm always telling them to be good to each other and to quit fighting. I tell them that one of these days they will need each other and they'll realize how important family is. I LOVE my brothers to pieces even though I don't get to see them very often, they mean the world to me! I can remember back when we were little, they'd pick on me to no end! I had to post this picture of what Terry did to the girls when they were arguing with each other and wouldn't stop...
Yes - he - DID! He tied Sarah's sleeve to Kaitlynn's pant leg and then tied both of their pant legs together! Terry and I thought it was funny, but Kaitlynn & Sarah didn't! Kaitlynn even started crying and telling her dad that he was mean... then Sarah thought it was funny.
And since the quote from the Bible is true, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" then I feel sorry for Terry since the girls will be picking out his nursing home! HAHA
It was just another day at the Gose house!
Love to all of you!

New Year New ...er.. Blog

Well, since we don't get to keep in touch with everyone as much as we'd like... I decided to post a blog for those of you who want to keep up with what's been going on in our lives.
That being said...

Our 13 year old dog died on January 9, 2009. It was SO sad. Trooper was diagnosed with cancer in May 2008. He started bleeding from his mouth and having difficulty breathing. Terry and I had to make a really hard decision to have him put to sleep. After he died, Terry, Kaitlynn and I buried him in our back yard under our Flaming Amore Maple tree.
The girls have never lost a pet before and it was an experience that none of us are looking forward to again!
Terry has been working as usual! Lots of bitter cold days lately have made for miserable shifts. Snow has been falling constantly making for busy days with accidents and slide-offs. The State Police had to do some budget cuts, so they took away their department issued cell phones. I went and bought him a new one... the extra $20/month is definitely worth the peace of mind.
Katilynn and Sarah have been doing well in school. They had a couple of "extra" days off due to the cold that will have to be made up at the end of the school year. They both LOVE their teachers and continue to do well in their studies!
Faith... lil' Faith! She is potty trained {she has been for a while now} but I was always putting Pull-Ups on her at night so that she didn't have any accidents. For the last 2 weeks she hasn't had any Pull-Ups on at night and has woke up completely dry. I am so proud of her!
I have been trying to keep busy with work but with the economy being in such turmoil, business isn't as great as I'd like! It's certainly understandable that people are trying to watch every dime! I know we are!!!
Well, I hope this first post finds all of you doing well and in good health. I will do my very best to update at least once a week... and add a picture or two!
Love,
Becky
